CHELSEA BEDROOM PROJECT: PHASE ONE

The past couple of days have been so hectic, I can't even tell you what day it is. I like to focus on the first layer, the main pieces. Lucky for us, our latest client already has style, we are just here to guide her with the best possible solution for her bedroom. Here are some of the solutions we are focusing on:

Take advantage of the height, the ceiling is 11' high!

There is one center window on one wall and we want to add storage and shelving from top to bottom, giving her the appearance of custom built-ins. Yet, if the day ever comes where she is ready to move on and move out, she can take these with her to her new home. Some great ways to make inexpensive shelf systems look expensive are to add a mirror back, painting the insides a different color, or adding gold or silver leafing to it. This design also provides more storage, and you know every city girl needs more closet space.

Mirrored insert behind shelves make the room look larger.

I'm loving the contrast between the black and white.

Why not go the extra mile and add gold or silver leaf, the result is incredible.

Find ways to organize and display the fabulous jewelry collection.

These acrylic necklace and bracelet displays are great ways to show off your jewelry.

Who said you have to put books on bookshelves.

Why not some art...

Or display a collection of funky objects...

Or even fancy barware. Night cap anyone?
