I can appreciate many different types of art, but I get most excited when I see art that uses a different medium or technique. Artist, Matthew Cusick, creates these giant collages using old maps and bible pages!

Using collage, an artist can really study and understand two-dimensional design, light and shadow, perspective, and negative space. In one of my college classes we actually had several assignments where we had to choose photographs to collage over.
